246 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance if his attention has been drawn to the possible structural damage and flooding in the vicinity of the retaining wall at Dun Carraig, Leixlip, County Kildare; if he will liaise with Kildare County Council with a view to ascertaining the adequacy of the structure and the elimination of the flooding and its consequent affect on the structure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I propose to take Questions Nos. 246 and 247 together.

Officials in the Office of Public Works are meeting with Kildare County Council later this week. Flooding issues relating to Mill Lane and Dun Carraig will be discussed at this meeting.
