Questions (174)

John Dennehy

Question:

265 Mr. Dennehy asked the Minister for Health and Children the arrangements in place, or being put in place, for step-down beds in the Cork region; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that a Southern Health Board survey in the late 1990s found a need for over 300 such beds; the way these have been provided; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy's question relates to the management and delivery of health and personal social services, which are the responsibility of the Health Service Executive under the Health Act 2004. Accordingly, the Department has requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to have this matter investigated and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
