View answerIn early April I announced new measures under the Clár Programme in the existing CLÁR areas and an extension into parts of five new counties (Wicklow, Carlow, Laois, Kilkenny and Offaly). This brings the total number of counties now covered by the Programme to 23.
In order for a school to be eligible to qualify for any of the CLÁR measures the school must be located in a District Electoral Division (D.E.D.) designated as a CLÁR area. There are no plans at the moment for further expansion of the areas covered by the CLÁR Programme.
