432 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Education and Science if she has received proposals from a post primary school (details supplied) in County Limerick for the securing, making safe, refurbishing and developing of an old school premises; and if she will make a statement on the matter. An application for a refurbishment project has been received from the school to which the Deputy refers. The project has been assessed and will be progressed in the context of the School Building and Modernisation Programme 2006-2010.

433 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Education and Science if she has received proposals from a post primary school (details supplied) in County Limerick for the refurbishment of an old building on the school site to make it suitable for the running of summer work programmes; and if she will make a statement on the matter. My Department is in receipt of an application for the Summer Works Scheme 2007 from the management authority of the school to which the Deputy refers. Applications for the Summer Works Scheme are currently being assessed and the list of successful applicants will be published as soon as possible. In addition, an application for a refurbishment project has been received from the school to which the Deputy refers. The project has been assessed and will be progressed in the context of the School Building and Modernisation Programme 2006-2010.
