126 Mr. McEllistrim asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the sketch scheme for the new Garda area headquarters for Castleisland will be approved in order that it can proceed to tender stage (details supplied). [4510/07]
View answerI have been informed by the Garda authorities that the sketch scheme for the new Area Headquarters Garda Station in Castleisland has been reviewed and a report on the amendments required to be made to the Sketch Scheme is currently being prepared and will shortly be forwarded to the Office of Public Works. On receipt of the revised Sketch Scheme from Office of Public Works, final sign off of the scheme will be completed by the Garda Authorities as soon as possible. The Office of Public Works will then proceed with the planning process and invitation of tenders. I am assured that there will be no unavoidable delay in dealing with this matter.
