517 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if his Department will assist in the raising of the Pere Charles and the Honey Dew recently lost off the south-east coast with the loss of seven lives; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9672/07]

Responsibility for maritime safety issues, including search and rescue and salvage responses in the marine environment rests with my colleague the Minister for Transport. As such, any questions relating to the raising of the fishing vessels Pére Charles or Honeydew II are a matter for the Minister for Transport.
