I wish to inform the Deputy that a response has issued to the letter concerned. The Deputy will be aware that the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) has taken over responsibility for processing resource applications for children with special educational needs since 1 January 2005 and a copy of the correspondence in question has been referred to the NCSE for attention.
