125 Mr. Durkan asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform further to Parliamentary Question No. 375 of 31 January 2007, the nature of the information sought; when it was sent in view of the fact that the latest correspondence for his Department to solicitors acting in the case was dated 17 May 2006 (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. Further to my reply to Parliamentary Question No. 375 of 31st January, 2007 I wish to advise the Deputy that my Department wrote to the solicitors acting for the person in question on the 3rd of October, 2006.

The correspondence requested that the original passport, the original birth certificate and an up-to-date letter from the school/college of the person concerned be submitted for consideration to my Department.
