202 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the position regarding an appeal by a person (details supplied) in County Galway of a decision by Coillte not to purchase 21 hectares of forestry. [15519/07]
View answerAs far as I can ascertain, this question relates to an appeal lodged by Coillte, on behalf of the individual, against a decision refusing approval for afforestation rather than the purchase of the land. The appeal was received in the Appeals Unit of the Forest Service of my Department on 10 January 2007 and is currently being processed. I understand that the area will be re-inspected within the next two weeks.
