View answerThe CIÉ bus companies are targeting significant growth in passenger numbers over the next 5 years — up to an additional 37.5 million per annum. Projected passenger numbers for private operators are not available. However, applications for bus licences from private operators will continue to be processed under the provisions of the Road Transport Act 1932, as amended.
