View answerMy Department's intranet carries news feeds and press cuttings which are available to all staff. The information is accessed using standard browsing technology. The data in relation to news feeds is automatically gathered using standard technology such as RSS feeds (really simple syndication) and these are updated several times during the day. The intranet is maintained by the Internal Systems Unit. In relation to the availability of press cuttings on the intranet, these are accessed on a daily basis via web links from a third party supplier Media World, at the cost of €4,100 per month.
