490 Deputy Frank Feighan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason for the delay in processing the visa application for a person (details supplied); and when they can expect a decision. [34989/07]

I am informed by the Immigration Division of my Department that the person in question is the subject of a Family Reunification application made in February 2007. This application will be considered by my Department and a decision will issue in due course. Family Reunification applications are dealt with in chronological order and at the present time are taking up to 24 months to process.
