View answerThe Bill providing for the Fair Deal Scheme is at an advanced stage and being finalised by the Office of the Attorney General at present. The Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney, T.D. proposes to publish the Bill as soon as possible following Government approval.
It is intended to introduce the scheme on a national basis once the necessary legal and administrative arrangements are in place.
