366 Deputy Richard Bruton asked the Minister for Defence if the use of compulsory purchase orders powers has increased since the advice of the Minister for Finance to Departments on this matter in 2005; the details of the increase; if he has secured faster release of lands and a more cost effective price for all forms of public infrastructure; and the savings secured. My Department does not avail of compulsory purchase orders to secure lands. As a result there has been no change in the manner of the use of compulsory purchase orders since 2005.
