172 Deputy Dan Neville asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the reason he is introducing new legislation on dog breeding establishments as secondary legislation when it was to be primary legislation. [16812/08]
View answerOn foot of the recommendations of the Working Group on the Management of Dog Breeding Establishments, I propose shortly to introduce a set of regulations under the provisions of the Control of Dogs Acts 1986-1992 in respect of registration, inspection and minimum standards applying to such premises.
