455 Deputy Brian Hayes asked the Minister for Education and Science, further to Parliamentary Question No. 745 of 17 June 2008, if he will confirm that his Department has received an offer from County Dublin Vocational Educational Committee for the disposal of a site to provide permanent accommodation for a school (details supplied) in County Dublin; his views on this offer; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm to the Deputy that the Department has received an offer from the VEC regarding the matter.

The acquisition of the site for the school in question will be considered in the context of the capital budget available to my Department for school buildings generally. I am not in a position to say at this stage when the acquisition will be concluded.
