229 Deputy Ciarán Lynch asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of representatives of his Department, particularly Ministers, Ministers of State, advisers and departmental officials, who will be visiting Beijing in an official capacity, to coincide with the 2008 Olympic Games; and projected cost of such visits. Neither I nor the Ministers of State at my Department have plans to visit China in an official capacity in August. Separate from the above, additional consular resources will be deployed in China to assist Irish citizens as the need arises.
