View answerUnder the Road Traffic (Control of Supply of Vehicles) Regulations 1991 it is an offence for a motor dealer to supply, or offer to supply, a vehicle which does not comply with vehicle standards regulations. A person who contravenes these Regulations is liable on conviction to a fine of up to €1,000 in the case of a first offence.
