946 Deputy Joan Burton asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the expenditure by his Department on consultants for each of the past six calendar years, including to date in 2008; the breakdown of these figures in order to show the amount and proportion of expenditure on consultants which relates to expenditure on public relations, marketing or advertising consultants; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In the time available, it has not been possible to identify and assemble the information requested. My Department was established in mid 2007 and is in the process of identifying and assembling the relevant information for 2007 and to date in 2008. I will revert to the Deputy with material as soon as possible.
