687 Deputy Thomas P. Broughan asked the Minister for Transport the contacts he has had with the Commission for Energy Regulation, the Competition Authority and the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources on the regulation of the transport liquid fuels market; his plans to liaise with CER and the Competition Authority to investigate the potential presence of uncompetitive behaviour in the transport liquid fuels market; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Allegations of uncompetitive behaviour among hauliers are a matter for the Competition Authority. I am not aware of any complaints to my Department of any uncompetitive behaviour in the liquid transport market. In the normal course, complaints would be referred to the Competition Authority.
