A total of €80.628 million in Exchequer funding has been allocated to Dublin Bus in 2008 towards the cost of loss-making economically necessary services which it provides as part of its network of bus services in the Dublin area. The deployment of this funding, and its funding from fare receipts, across its network of routes, including routes in Lucan and Clondalkin, is a matter for Dublin Bus. Dublin Bus has not sought specific or additional funding for services in the Lucan or Clondalkin area additional to the €80.628 million referred to above.
