Written answers

The Department is in negotiation with County Dublin Vocational Education Committee regarding the provision of a site for the school in question. The acquisition of the site will be considered in the context of the capital budget available to my Department for school buildings generally. I am not in a position to say at this stage when the acquisition will be concluded.

The Department has asked South Dublin County Council to identify a site for this proposed development. The Department is continuing to engage with the Local Authority in relation to this matter and in this regard will be in contact shortly with South Dublin County Council with a view to arranging technical assessment of proposed sites. Due to the commercial sensitivities of site acquisitions it is not proposed at this stage to identify specific sites being considered.
