View answerThe issue raised by the Deputy is currently being considered in the context of the recent interim report of the Joint Committee on the Constitutional Amendment on Children. I am currently working with the Minister for Justice Equality and Law Reform to bring to Government a legislative proposal to give effect to the Committee's recommendation. In this regard, officials from my Office have been in contact with their counterparts in the Department of Justice Equality and Law Reform to begin the process of formulating proposals to give legal authority for the collection and exchange of information concerning the risk or the occurrence of endangerment, sexual exploitation or sexual abuse of children.
