268 Deputy Brian Hayes asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of teachers in the primary school sector who have a masters degree; the number of teachers in the post-primary school sector who have a masters degree; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33015/08]
View answerTwo thousand five hundred and twenty six teachers employed in Secondary and community/Comprehensive schools and eighteen hundred and nine teachers in primary schools are currently in receipt of a Masters Degree allowance. The information in relation to teachers employed by VECs is held by them individually and is not available in my Department.
