16 Deputy Olivia Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason people hiring equipment from the Health Service Executive have not been refunded for months; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that many people are out of pocket and suffering hardship as the result of the stopping of all refund payments; if she will pay out a portion of the money due to alleviate hardship being caused by this dispute; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Health Service Executive has the operational and funding responsibility for Primary Care Services, it is the appropriate body to consider the particular case raised by the Deputy. My Department has therefore requested the Parliamentary Affairs Division of the Executive to arrange to address this matter and to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy.
