View answerESB Customer Supply is a division of the ESB Group. ESB, in common with other Commercial State Bodies, is not included under the remit of the Freedom of Information Acts. I am advised that the decision not to include Commercial State Bodies under the remit of the Freedom of Information Acts was taken on the grounds that their inclusion would impose disclosure requirements on the State Companies operating in commercial spheres that do not apply to their competitors.
