270 Deputy Seán Ó Fearghaíl asked the Minister for Education and Science the enrolment at a school (details supplied) in County Kildare; the number of teachers, permanent, temporary or part-time, assigned to this school; the number of special needs assistants employed at the school; the details of other staff assigned to this school; the capitation, grant aid and so on made by his Department to this school in each of the past three years; the value of capital expenditure by his Department at the school since 1998 to date in 2008; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department interacts with over 3,200 primary schools on many day to day issues including their staffing allocation and grant payments. It is not possible to compile the information requested by the Deputy at individual school level given the inordinate amount of time it would take and balanced against the many other competing demands on my Department's resources.
