Broughan asked the Minister for Transport the amount he has allocated for the Medical Bureau of Road Safety for 2009; if he has ringfenced funding specifically to target measures at motorists driving under the influence of drugs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have provided €4.395 million to the Medical Bureau of Road Safety for 2009. While my Department provides annual funding to the Medical Bureau of Road Safety, the allocation of resources to the various programmes is a matter for the bureau itself.
