356 Deputy Joe McHugh asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government the amount of public money that was spent annually on advanced driving courses for temporary workers by local authorities here between 1997 and 2007; if he will provide this information in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under section 159 of the Local Government Act 2001, each County and City Manager is responsible for staffing and organisational arrangements, including the provision of training, necessary for carrying out the functions of the local authorities for which he or she is responsible.
