435 Deputy Jim O’Keeffe asked the Minister for Health and Children the amount spent by her and Ministers of State, officials, persons in agencies, offices or bodies under the remit of her Department, on foreign travel in the period 1 January 2008 to 31 December 2008; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The total amount of unrecouped foreign travel by this Department in 2008 is €0.48m. The total amount spent by agencies under the remit of my Department in 2008 is detailed in the table. My Department has asked the Health Service Executive to have a reply issued directly to the Deputy on the spend in the Executive.
