View answerThe visa application referred to by the Deputy was received in the Visa Office, Dublin on 5 January 2009. Following consideration by a Visa Officer it was refused on 2 February 2009 for a number of reasons: the evidence of finances submitted was deemed insufficient; the immigration history of the applicant; there were inconsistencies with regard to the application in that there were contradictions in the information supplied.
The decision of the Visa Officer may be appealed within two months of the date of decision, in this case before 2 April 2009. Guidelines on making an appeal can be found on the website of the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (www.inis.gov.ie).
