194 Deputy Enda Kenny asked the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources the number of freedom of information requests received by his Department each month in 2007 and 2008 in tabular format; the number acceded to; the number refused; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following tables show the details of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests handled by my Department during 2007 and 2008, in the format requested.

During 2007, 9 of the requests received were transferred to other Departments for response and 8 applicants withdrew their requests. During 2008, 6 requests were transferred to other Departments for response and 10 applicants withdrew their requests.
