498 Deputy Michael D. Higgins asked the Minister for Education and Science further to Parliamentary Question No. 443 of 3 February 2009, if there is a delay in the transfer of the site of a school (details supplied) in County Galway; if so, the reason for same; and the steps he is taking to expedite the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, my Department recently wrote to City of Galway VEC instructing them to proceed with negotiations regarding the acquisition of a site for the school in question. I am advised that the VEC are progressing the matter.
