131 Deputy Dinny McGinley asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the competency development programme organised by FÁS has been suspended which will have a negative impact on persons in employment and in need of being upskilled; her views on having this programme reinstated; and if she will make a statement on the matter. FÁS has informed me that its Competency Development Programme is not suspended. However, for the last two weeks FÁS has not been making any new commitments pending its assessment of existing commitments for this year.
