347 Deputy Jimmy Deenihan asked the Minister for Defence if the number of civil servants in his Department at principal officer and assistant principal officer grades has increased since 1 September 2008; if further increases in either of these grades is planned or proposed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There has been no increase in the number of principal officers or assistant principal officers in my Department since 1 September 2008, nor are there any plans to increase the numbers in these grades.
