View answerBased on current demographic trends the Department of Education and Science anticipates that there will be a need for a further post-primary school in Lucan in the medium term and has been in contact with South Dublin County Council regarding a potential site for future educational provision in the area.
Officials from the Department recently carried out a technical inspection of the various site options identified by South Dublin County Council and is currently considering these options. The Department will be in further contact with South Dublin County Council regarding the matter.
