73 Deputy Jack Wall asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the position regarding an application to the labour inspectorate in regard to outstanding employment payments due in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I understand that the National Employment Rights Authority (NERA), which is responsible for monitoring compliance with employment rights legislation, is conducting investigations into the case of the individual to whom the Deputy refers. NERA advise me that appropriate action will be taken in the event of breaches of employment legislation being discovered.
