147 Deputy Mattie McGrath asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the status of an application for long-term residency by a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary which was lodged on 16 April 2008; if a decision will be made soon; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I would refer the Deputy to my response to Parliamentary Question No. 533 of 24th March, 2009. Officials in the Long-Term Residency section of my Department advise me that applications from July 2007 are now being considered. Otherwise, the position remains the same.
