View answerWaterways Ireland is a North-South Implementation Body established under the British-Irish Agreement Act 1999 and the North-South Co-operation (Implementation Bodies) (Northern Ireland) Order 1999. Waterways Ireland is jointly funded by my Department and the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure of Northern Ireland. Employees of Waterways Ireland are public sector employees.
