1282 Deputy Ruairí Quinn asked the Minister for Education and Science the report or data he cited, other than the OECD report mentioned, in regard to his claims in a section of his submission to the special group on public service numbers and expenditure programmes (details supplied); if he will provide a copy of the relevant sources; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerData quoted in the relevant section of my submission to the Special Group on Public Service Numbers and Expenditure Programmes as referred to by the Deputy are contained in a report titled "Review and Prioritisation of Capital Projects in the Higher Education Sector" published by the HEA in 2004. The report sets out a strategy to meet the future capital needs of the higher education sector. The information supplied was taken from Section 6 of the Report, which examines current building stock and was updated as appropriate to allow for the time lapse since its publication.
I will arrange for a copy of the report to be forwarded to the Deputy.
