612 Deputy Brian Hayes asked the Minister for Transport if he will re-affirm his commitment to provide the line F — Luas for Lucan; if he will commit to provide this project by the scheduled date of 2013; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [33846/09]
View answerI want to assure the Deputy that I remain fully committed to the delivery of Luas Line F to Lucan. The implementation of this project will be determined as appropriate by the outcome of public consultation, the statutory planning approval process, the public procurement process and the funding available to my Department during the current difficult economic climate. I understand that the planning and design of this line is at an advanced stage and the Railway Procurement Agency intend submitting a Railway Order application to An Bórd Pleanála in 2010 in respect of this line.
