301 Deputy Seymour Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food his views in the context of the preparation of an offshore renewable energy development plan and the commissioning of a strategic environment assessment of that plan, on the way in which offshore wind projects with valid applications for foreshore leases pending determination will be affected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In considering applications under the Foreshore Acts my Department consults with a range of statutory consultees and also takes due regard of broad Government policy on related matters. In the case of offshore renewable energy projects appropriate consideration is given to Government policy on energy provision in determining applications.
