View answerNeither my Department nor its agencies compile statistics on the numbers of company closures. With regard to agency assisted companies only, my Department operates an internal early warning system of potential job losses based on material provided on a confidential basis by IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and Shannon Development. While this system helps to identify certain companies that are experiencing difficult trading conditions, it is not an indicator of company closures.
