View answerIt has been decided to put a cash limit on the Dental Treatment Services Scheme this year, based on the expenditure incurred under the scheme in 2008. My Department has asked the HSE to examine the means of achieving this and I expect to receive their proposals shortly. Responsibility for the Dental Treatment Benefit Scheme rests with my colleague, the Minister for Social and Family Affairs. The treatments available under the scheme have been limited to the dental and optical examinations for 2010.
