500 Deputy Michael Kennedy asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the newly built arches of the Broadmeadows Viaduct at the Estuary, Malahide, County Dublin have not been designed to allow local water sports to continue on the Estuary, for example kayaking; if his further attention has been drawn to the fact that local amenities are also being affected; if the hydrological survey of the new bridge will be made available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The design and reconstruction of the Malahide Viaduct were an operational matter for Iarnród Éireann with the approval as necessary of the Railway Safety Commission and not one in which I have any role.
