584 Deputy Seán Connick asked the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government, further to Parliamentary Question No. 256 of 26 November 2009, the position regarding an application for funding under the capital assistance scheme for voluntary housing associations from an organisation (details supplied) in County Wexford; when a decision on this application will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I recently announced the approval of funding for some 75 voluntary and co-operative housing projects at various locations around the country, including a project being advanced by Rathangan Senior Citizens Housing Association at Rathangan, Co. Wexford. Wexford County Council will advise the housing body with regard to the procedures for drawing down the funding in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant scheme.
