205 Deputy Joe Behan asked the Minister for Finance if he will clarify the tax relief arrangements on medical expenses in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6954/10]
View answerThe position is that tax relief will continue to be granted at the marginal rate (up to 41%) in respect of nursing home fees for 2010. The person concerned may make a claim to have this included as a tax credit for the current year and should contact his local tax district in that regard.
