56 Deputy Seán Sherlock asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the cloud computing systems that are in use in her Department; the safeguards that are in place regarding personal information and public data on those systems; and if she will make a statement on the matter. There is no formal definition of cloud computing. However, in the widely used context of systems which allow organisations to outsource computer applications which are used to manipulate and store data, my Department does not use any cloud computing systems.
