383 Deputy Ulick Burke asked the Minister for Social and Family Affairs the reason so many applicants for disability allowance which is means tested are being refused this allowance without medical officers having first assessed these applicants in person and the reason for the delay encountered by these applicants when they appeal these distant assessments; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
