191 Deputy Michael Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a garda who has been transferred to a station in a different county will be replaced in the area (details supplied) which they vacated in County Mayo. [10687/10]
View answerResponsibility for the allocation of all personnel within the Force rests with the Garda Commissioner, in consultation with his senior management team. In this regard, the Deputy should be aware that over 200 students are due to be attested as Gardai during 2010. Resource levels are constantly monitored, in conjunction with crime trends and other demands made on An Garda Síochána and the situation is kept under continuing review.
